Tomorrow, Monday November 4, 2019, I will be presenting a talk in Dr. David Yoskowitz’s organized session, “Social and natural sciences: When the stars align…or don’t.” I will be presenting on my research on coral reefs as socio-ecological systems. Specifically, I will discuss how different ecological response variables respond slowly to socio-economic drivers (i.e. management institutions). This makes time frames and budgets for research greater than they tend to be in practice. I have uploaded my slides here:
